One of the major roadblocks to recovery for those who suffer from depression is our culture’s tendency to label them with depression and other mental health disorders. Often youngsters, go into depression because they are grappling with a new job, new life and responsibilities, dealing with complicated relationships and trying to fit into their peer group.
However, it is sad that most of them do not step forward acknowledging this state. Most often if not, youngsters are faced with the dilemma trying to explain their situation to their friends and family, without being judged. If some of them can speak up, they face the risk of being socially alienated by their friends and peers.
