GROUP FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

BODY SCULPTING Increase your muscular strength and tone up with this basic, but intense weight workout.  Learn how to isolate the major muscle groups of the upper and lower body using hand weights and resistance tubing. 
 
CARDIO-SCULPT Get the best of both! A little bit of H.E.A.T. and some body sculpting. This class gives you the strength work you want and the cardio that you need. Includes, step, slide or hi/low aerobics and use of dumbbells, resistance tubing, resist-a-balls and body weight exercises.
 
H.E.A.T. “High Energy Aerobic Training” This is a total body workout.  The cardiovascular segment will include one or more of the following:  Step, Slide, and Hi/Low Impact Aerobics.  Toning exercises will also be incorporated.  
POWER YOGA   This is an energetic, strength building practice with movements that flow from one posture to another with breath. Power Yoga heats the body internally while building strength. It increases cardiovascular endurance, enhances balance and coordination and calms the mind.

RESTORATIVE YOGA Relax and renew and reconnect your body and mind with this traditional yet progressive style of yoga. This class can be modified for any level of participant and has a range of basic to more advanced asanas (poses) balanced with plenty of deep breathing and quiet relaxation.

SENIOR AEROBICS This class was designed with the older adult in mind. It incorporates low impact aerobics, chair aerobics, step aerobics, and toning exercises.

SPINNING The latest in group exercise, is an indoor group cycling class.  The instructor leads the class through a workout, but each participant can work at their own ability level.  Enjoy the motivation of a group in a non-competitive environment.  Pre-payment and registration is required to reserve a bike.
 
ZUMBA Zumba is a fusion of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps to the tune of Latin and International music. The routine features aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Zumba utilizes the principles of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning.
